Welcome to Limbo What do you want from life? For Lester, a college freshman, it's a monster truck, a date with Paris Hilton, and creamy peanut butter. Lester lives in an Arizona trailer park with his single mom and his guardian angel. Lester's "helicopter" mom is concerned about his unfocused and at times erratic, hormone-laced behavior. However, as a single mom, she needs help keeping Lester in line. Not sure where to turn, she calls "Dial-a-Prayer." A guardian Angel, named Gus, arrives from Angel Temps. Gus endeavors to help Lester deal with the real world. This is a buddy strip. It features an incompetent guardian angel that leads (or tries to lead) a slacker "teendult" through various misadventures. The ongoing strip will feature the day-to-day struggles of a single mom bringing-up her underachieving college-teen son and their relationship with Gus, his guardian angel. Gus has a dog, Ramone...Ramone, also an angel, is the hero of all the other pets in the neighborhood. Look for witty, insightful, silly and just darn touching reflections on the metaphysics of life, video games and imaginary dog bones, from the point of view of a trailer park denizen. And remember, it's all about the laughs.
Those looking for an overt religious or political agenda, are welcome to think what they want. Ramone says you're barking up the wrong tree. But, Gus might have a different opinion on the matter. Then again that mumbling sound that you think is his rebuttal might actually be his stomach. |
